Nope he was never AT the entrance gate......
Snippet from another Forum...
'Today being Independence Day, there was a lot going on in the capital and there was function at the Palace. Conor had elected to set up his "Ground Zero" at the exit gates from the palace, from there we could see the entrance and all the diplomatic cars cars entering at speed, on the way out however, at the exit, there is a roundabout and when the cars left they had to leave very slowly...........................right past Conor's demonstration !! There were diplomats from all over the world, each car sporting it's flag of origin and they got a good close look at Conor's boards of protest, many of them nodded to us, some of them touched their hearts with a closed fist indicating an empathy with his situation, and then one car stopped, the driver motioned for Conor to approach the car and explain what was going on, Conor told his story and indicated that he would be staying there until Monday, the driver of the car asked Conor if he had a place to sleep and Conor said, "Yes, on the pavement over there behind your car, I have nowhere else to go, there is someone living in my house "................ The man was speechless.
The driver of the car identified himself as the director of the presidential office and he asked Conor to contact him on Monday morning and forward all the relevant information on the case, he expressed his sorrow and condolences for Conor and for his family.
Shortly after this, the presidential limo carrying the president and his wife left the palace, they too slowed and the lady in the car, the president's wife, read the boards.'
