Cornelius Desmond O'Dwyer's Press Release

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

Postby Jack M » Fri Oct 01, 2010 10:21 am

Hardly provocative when Conor was due to be protesting today at the NEC, warning people that they were likely to be exposed to developers debt and potentially purchasing property on land that is mortgaged for millions. It is down to the legal system in Cyprus that he has been forced to remain in the country.

When a crooked lawyer gets a Presidential pardon and other crooks remain practising a year after their crimes are highlighted to the Cyprus Bar Association and the Attorney General says it's ok to sell houses twice then it is Shame on Cyprus because it is corrupt right through to its core.

Exaggerations. "Jack M" yet another anti-Cypriot racist. Cyprus is Cyprus and it has its issues like every other country although I don't know where you read that Attorney General said it's OK to sell houses twice. If you know of a place where everything is perfect let me know. But if you knew such place why wouldn't you move there in the first place? And if your own country was so good then why would you even consider leaving it?

They leave their own country because they can't be racist there!

I'm not considering leaving the UK thanks, I love it here even though I do travel the world in my job.

When I do decide to retire I may or may not move abroad but for me it will be as simple as ABC - ANYWHERE BUT CYPRUS. As I've said before, if it's alright for some I am not about to criticise them for their choices and wouldn't be so rude as to do so. Everyone is entitled to live free of being a victim of systematic corruption.

I already know of 4 houses that have been sold twice and no criminal action has been instigated by the Attorney General.

If you love it there why you may move abroad when you retire then? Apparently it is not so great as you want us to believe ;) For you it might be simple "anywhere but Cyprus" but that is because you are anti-Cypriot. Otherwise Cyprus is just like every other place with its pros and cons. And if you know the cons you can easily avoid most of them, like for example doing a better research if buying a house.

cyprus needs to do something about title deeds, it's a fucking disgrace...

anyway my 2 cents...

He has,nt cheated he has BEEN cheated btw its his second beating up

Was that the "second beating" for which he prepared himself with recording equipment, buoyed up after a drunken evening's showing off that the publicity would do him good, allegedly?

someones either fabricating a story or afraid of libel... most likely both

The use of "in my opinion" ,"allegedly" and similar are wonderfull tools if you wish to create or repeat scurrilous accusations,so to use the modus operandi of many here.......... where's the source of your allegations ???

Well, everything is "allegedly" until the judge makes his/her decision! "Conor" might do well to remember this little nugget before he accuses the whole of Cyprus of corruption!

... He rapidly lost any sympathy he might have had for delays in his building project, by "shooting himself in the foot" ... almost literally!

Oh yes, Cyprus is full of pros and cons. Most of the pros are to be found in gentlemen's clubs full of married men and the cons are found in all sorts of unexpected, to someone from a normal country, places.

I don't think anyone is saying problems don't happen anywhere else but the startling regularity they happen in Cyprus is pretty disgusting.

Here we go again. Go on, defend this lovely lawyer as you do all things Cypriot. People hate paedo's everywhere but here we have a lawyer using the victims and forging evidence to try to get the nonce off.

Pervert’s lawyer ‘put pressure on the young victims’

A 51-YEAR-OLD Lanrnaca lawyer has been charged with inciting a witness to commit perjury and intervening with justice during the trial of man who sexually abused his two daughters.

The lawyer was defending a 47-year-old man who was ultimately found guilty and jailed for 20 years on charges including rape, incest, indecent assault and sexual exploitation.

The lawyer was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit a misdemeanour, forging evidence, inciting witnesses to commit perjury, conspiracy to overturn the course of justice, intervening in a judicial process and concealing profits from illegal acts.

The lawyer was arrested and charged

So what more do you want? About what is to be found in gentlemen's clubs I will not argue with you. I am sure you are such a regular in such places that you know the marital status of all their clients!

What more do I want?

When it says released pending trial I want to read Suspended from practising law until trial. Shouldn't be too much to ask really should it considering what he did to those girls?

The lawyer who swore untrue affadavits about Gavin Jones' mother and the circumstances surrounding her death, in court, is still practising 14 months after a complaint to the CBA.

The lawyers convicted in court of negligence is still pactising.

Whats the point of a trial then? Have you never heard of "Innocent until proven guilty"?
