Have you ever met O'Dwyer? Do you have one shred of objective evidence to support any of your arguments that he has defamed the company? As to sdefaming the government, the government managed to do enough damaage to ist reputation through a number of issues with the legal system, in particular the way that the case took so long to hear - 4 years! Justified delayed is justice denied.

You need to read back thru the posts, I,m on the side of good not evil. Therefore IF those lying Developers don,t get a lengthy sentence then the campaign will continue. It was,nt me that said it

If you want Cyprus to have a bad name, with a rant like that you are doing a good job, with pepole like it does need expats or the Cyprus Mail.

There are however two main reasons that a number of issues get aired in the Cyprus mail 0 Politicised as GR put it, Publicised as is perhaps a better way -
(a) The Expats dont have the network of fixers, etc who can fix problems quietly,
(b) THERE IS A PROBLEM THAT NEEDS SORTING AND PUBLICISING IT IS THE ONLY WAY TO DO SO.

As Cyprus residents the immigrants/expats have every right to complian about the con tricks of some property developers, their lawyers, thae banks, etc., and the positive failings of the Government and the Justice system (and that makes it political) to do anything about these issues.

Regarding Mr O'Dwyer's case, as yet I have not yet seen any objective evidence that Mr O'Dwyer has defamed either the builder or the state.

Significantly those Like GR are unable to address those issues but rather seek to duck them and resort to (A) diverting attention (B) abuse (C) threats, all of which are conspicuous in the above message.

...is DEFAMATION, because it suggests that there’s a problem with the COUNTRY instead of the developer!

That is POLITICIZING a commercial dispute!

You see, for every O'Dwyer case that went sour there are 100s of thousands of successful property transactions that took place in Cyprus so the statement above is wrong and misleading, and that constitutes DEFAMATION against a country!
