Your gonna serve the whole 24 month. Are your parents both from England?

If you got a GC surname, you're not going to get out of the country.

You will do 24 months for sure.

Even if you renew you UK passport, you will need an adeia exodou, which you won't get.

Sorry matey, looks like the army for you.

Those who try to evade the army are not only doing a great disservice to our country, but also to themselves and their loved ones because when push goes to shove you’ll be useless to those you’re meant to protect …so grow up and take responsibility of your country and loved ones like every man ought to!

Looks like a pretty clear case of a full-board 24-month stay at the expense of The Republic's Ministry of Defence.

Also think sometimes the law should be changed for a second compulsory term (in addition to reserve duties), of say 6 months on full pay from employers, for those in their 30's and 40's so that the benefit of their cool maturity and the wisdom of age might benefit the defence of The Republic.

So after spending just the first 3 months of your life in UK and the rest of it in Cyprus, you've opted to go back to the UK and stay there for good? It must have made a good early impression on you!
