I don't know what you mean, VP.!

I'm the one who is supporting Turkey to be in the EU, unlike yourself who does not, because it would mean Cyprus too having a True Democracy which does not suit the NeoPartitionist.. I have Turkey's best interest at heart if they want to be part of the western civilization and live by their principles.

But if Turkey does not want to be in the EU, then you will win (not sure what exactly) and Turkey will lose. It is that simple. The moment Turkey officially cancels her EU application, you will see the Turkish economy and currency take a nosedive, which will also effect you in the north. Despite all the scaremongering by the NeoPartitionist that Turkey is no longer interested being in the EU to make believe the game is up in Cyprus for a Fair & Just solution, Turkey seems to push harder to get into the EU. Now, it may all be play acting on Turkey's part to make believe that they want to be in the EU when in fact they do not want to be, then the only reason for them to play act the game, is not to have their economy and currency take a nosedive. Think about it.!

Obviously you know nothing about the EU and Turkeys stance on her efforts to enter the EU, luckily enough France and Germany have been honest enough to tell Turkey where she stands and that is not full memebership but a special partnership, so Turkey can keep her EU perspective and add to this closer economical relations with Russia and the vast potential of the Turkic markets which will develop over time and where Turkey will be a lead nation rather than obtain backdoor entry into the EU for which she has been waiting 50 years, even you can see that she is not an EU nation or will she ever be, plus such a large muslim population in the Christian Eu will just not be tollerated. You may support the EU but the aging old fart will crock in the not so distant future....the signs are there Greece, Spain Ireland all in trouble and potential time bombs. Not every country has to be in the EU to be sucessful...there are plenty of examples who dont need or even want to be in the EU, you just want to hide behind this facade to force your GC will on the TC people and dominate the whole island, well it aint gonna happen and if you havent realized this fact by now then everyone can decide what they think about your biased viewpoint.

Mr H - the voice of the people.

He made one fundamental error: the buffoon mistook Turkey for a democracy.

Yes wouldn't want to be anywhere near Turkey if it cancels the application. The markets would only have to get a whiff of that happening and its currency and stock-markets would collapse.

So if you believe that scenario, then once started, EU Accession becomes a one-way trip with no turning back and it's a journey on EU terms on every single step ...... which includes the EU founding principles for Turkey........and for all of CY.

(Jees no wonder the EU has fallen out of favour with the Partitionists)

Just need a little clarification, VP. Were you referring to me or the EU.??

I'm not trying to force anything on anyone. All I want for the TC Community is to become part of the western style Democratic society who respects the Rule of Law, Human Rights, International Laws and the EU Principles to live in an "honest society" from the present "corrupted society" and to build a good future for their children in Cyprus. Your present course of action does nothing of the above but instead, help eliminate the TC culture, heritage and it's people from Cyprus. For this, don't expect me to say "Thank you" to you.!

You have to love the way some just put Turkey down as totally insignificant in today's world.

Probably the biggest secular, democratic country (some would say half-democratic).

The 37th largest country in the world (and there are a lot of countries in the world - nearly 200)

Very amusing.
