by taking her passwords or any ones passwords they gain nothing no money.

Actually they can, not directly from the hacked person, but they then use the email account and the facebook account for spamming mailing lists to get them to click links, and hopefully sell them something, or more usually it is to get them to click on cpa affiliate links that pay, or google adsense links that pay, there are many things that people can click on to make them money, and they will now be doing it in this person's name.

I would immediatly report this to Facebook to claim your name back, the same with Hotmail. They do respond eventually. Sadly they probably won't be able to trace the hacker as they use proxy IP's to cover their tracks. Interestingly, some of these hackers are in Cyprus, or living in other countries and being hired by Cypriots to do the hacking. So don't trust anyone.

The good thing for fig head is they are probably not interested at all in your personal things on Facebook, your pictures etc, they just want to use your account to spam others, however they will probably take the email address and facebook names of all your freinds so it would be wise to warn them all, and get them to change their passwords frequently, using a combination of letters, numbers and symbals, otherwise they will likely be the next to get hacked.

internet banking is secure you need a security word that you put in to log in after typing a password that never gets logged

Internet banking is not 100% secure and never has been. When I had a problem with someone trying to access my accounts the bank said I must have a 'keylogger' problem. Only by producing printoffs of my daily security scans (have to keep it very clean because I have other people's business gubbins on it) was I able to convince them that the problem was in no way anything to do with me.

Online banking fraud 'suffers increase

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/8558535.stm

From BankSafeOnline:
http://www.banksafeonline.org.uk/index.html
How much are current online UK banking fraud losses? In 2008 fraud losses totalled 53 million. As with card fraud, UK online banking customers will not be liable for fraud losses as all banks have published online guarantees that state, providing a customer does not breach their terms and conditions, they will not be held liable for any losses. Banking online is very safe providing you use a fully protected PC and remain wary of unsolicited emails.

So basically the problem is caused by idiots opening unsolicited emails and dodgy web sites! Fools!

Internet banking is very safe! Anything you use out there is safe. The problem comes from the user. They are the fools to fall into such traps.

A few days ago my uncles facebook got hacked because some guy form india wanted his poker chips. Told him about 20x "DO NOT REPLY TO THOSE EMAILS" and to never enter any passwords, but still managed to fall for it.

I haven't used an anti-virus for 9 months now, and my computer is totally fine. You just have to learn from where you download and what extensions you are downloading.

Now fighead just to makes thing more clear. What accounts have they stolen?
