Nikitas is advocating that individual refugee persons should negotiate with Turkey. This is the most absurd proposal I have ever heard. Of course, Omirou beat him to it, but then Omirou, who has been part of the last 3 governments, never dared to propose such an absurdity when his proposals would carry some weight at least.
In my view, the withdrawl of the Turkish army and the majority of the settlers make up priority number one!
I disagree. Top priority is regaining my property. The Turkish army, even if it "goes away", will be 2 minutes away from Cyprus anyway and if a solution is found the number of remaining settlers as such makes little impact.
Christofias is of course authorised to negotiate the mechanisms for REMOVING the illegalities and violations of the right to property. He is in no way authorised, however, to negotiate the removal of this right itself.
For example, if it is true that he proposed that those younger than 10 years old in 74 should lose their properties, as well as many similar provisions, then I consider this to be attempted fraud and theft of property, in clear violation of the constitution of the RoC, and expect the Attorney General to intervene, so that this issue is decided in court.
