My thoughts exactly! They could have caught and fined more than 400 in a 100 yard stroll along Finicoudes or Makenzy on one weekend evening!

They are not exactly overworking themselves regarding this!

It shows that Cypriots are prone to disobeying and breaking the law. Employers do it constantly exploiting their workers with total disregard. We have progressed in many ways but beneath it all we are still riding bloody donkeys .
Smoking is banned in public places , that is the law .The stupid sods who flout the law ought to be severely dealt with , we are not some banana republic and we must behave within the law.
Dirt filthy tobacco fumes must not be permitted to poison public places.
You want to smoke , do so but dont expect me to breath in your filthy fumes you third world addicts !!!

... but my dear pappou, smoking is part of the CY Culture, rather like trapping and eating little birdies, or parking on pavements, or over-indulgence in food and drink, or having a smelly little bin for toilet-paper, .... shouldn't those of us who only visit there cut them a bit of slack cos (if for no other reason) we are in danger of seeking to impose the "politically correct" values of tourists?

It is amazing how anti-smoking zealots will wave their hands in front of their faces at the very sight of a smoker while standing next to a highway with trucks roaring past belching diesel fumes!

In the UK the fascist bastards turn their noses up at you when you smoke in the street! The bastards have had you banned from smoking everywhere else, so where do they arseholes expect you to bloody well smoke?

Next thing you know you will be banned from smoking in your own house just in case you sell it to a non-smoking Brit!

Mate , I have members of my family who smoke ! They visit me but I insist that first I have to...fumigate them then they must wear a mask so I dont get a whiff of their bad breath !!!!
Honestly if only smokers realized what a dirty smelly habit this third world habit is , I mean to say everyone in Bangladesh , Pakistan , Ethiopia, the Middle East and practically every other third world nation SMOKES !!!
They dont have the required brain power to pack it up unlike most Westerners who do. There again in the West is mostly the less educated and lower classes who persist in this dirty habit.
Give it up you bloody addicts !!!
Take up wine instead !!!!

My dear Pappou, am quite astonished that you of all people, Great CY Symbol that you are, someone who took the EOKA oath back in the 50's to fight the Army of the British Empire for CY Freedom, who single-handedly takes on the fascist thought controllers in the Councils of South London and their Traffic Warden storm-troopers now seeks to impose limits on the freedoms of others.....
we can't smoke
we can't drive badly
we can't eat little birds
etc
etc
