The UN is sick, toothless and impotent. Why keep posting the THREE UN resolutions Turkey is not abiding by when Israel is in breach of more than 30 and nothing is ever done about that? What makes GR or anyone think the UN will come down on a nation in breach of just 3?

It is worth repeating the UN Res's time and time again cos they are exceptionally effective.

Did I say I thought they'd implement it Paphitis? Or make sure the Israeli's complied with it? Did I say I agreed with them? There were many here who were saying the Israelis would be cleared by any enquiry and that there was no proof against them - that the opposite was the case - that it was proved they were justified and did not use unnecessary force.

And they might be cleared yet! More to go after this one.

And if UN resolutions are so "toothless and impotent" why are so many people negotiating for one arrangement or the other? Do they think they can do anything without UN approval? And will it still be "toothless and impotent"?

Of course they won't comply because they believe it is a national security risk.

Australia does exactly the same as Israel in International Waters. We too will not comply with anything the UN wishes to dish out because Australia perceives a National Security threat and potential terrorist risk.

Basically, the 2 countries are at War!
