Why doesn't the EU and the rest of the world help Cyprus?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

The RoC might not be perfect but it is the ONLY legally functioning democracy on the island of Cyprus representing all Cypriots. The third world occupying power represents the settlers and the extremists amongst the T/Cs . We too have our own brand of extremists or plonkers as I call them but they are insignificant where it matters most, in the political arena.
GR and some other fools hate America , our government seems not to , wisely I may add.

"In his written reply, President Obama referred to the historic, as he described them, bonds between the USA and Cyprus, and expressed the wish to work for the enlargement and enhancement of the two countries’ bilateral relations and for the promotion of the common values that govern them. He stated at the same time that the arrival of the new Ambassador coincides with the “special milestone” of the 50 year anniversary of the Republic of Cyprus and 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cyprus and the USA. Also referring to the multi-faceted cooperation between the USA and Cyprus, the US President described the Republic of Cyprus as “valued partner” of the USA on a plethora of issues. "

Only one problem with your stirring speech yero! If America has strong bonds with Cyprus, it has had even stronger bonds with Turkey in the past, and even helped create the Cyprus problem. So you better hope that some massive Geo Political changes occur through Israel, otherwise the US can get stuffed if it does not move to correct past wrongs soon!

No one sees either as being right therefore they couldnt careless about Cyprus in fact they revel in our stupidity as the Brits always say they feel safe knowing that there will never be a solution because we Cypriots do not have the capacity to agree a solution and live together.

cannot say i have heard that expression before.....

but regarding the thread, since these negotiations started it has been the continual line that only a settlement can be made for Cyprus by Cypriots.
No interference from any outside nations, no colonial power interference, no suffocating timeframes, unhelpful remarks about the UN, etc
So basically people get fed up with all this on one hand then a complete about face with, for instance the president visiting the self same countries to urge greater imput and requests to put pressure on Turkey.
