No Show From Rihanna and Timberlake

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

No Show From Rihanna and Timberlake

Postby bill cobbett » Mon Sep 20, 2010 7:54 pm

Reprinted in various sources...

"On Sept. 7 (Sept. 15 according to some sources), singer Rihanna was reportedly scheduled to give a free public concert at the inauguration of the luxury Fashion Castle Hotel in the town of Kyrenia in Turkish-occupied Northern Cyprus. Greek Cypriots and sympathizers began a campaign to prevent her performance there. Days passed since the scheduled day of appearance, and still no word on the event."

Looks like Rihanna and Timberlake put on a No Show.... must have been a good gig, albeit a little quiet.

There will be no peace or let up in these campaigns as long as Turkish multinationals (nothing to do with TCs) think they can waltz into ethnically cleansed land and build hotels, especially whilst the GCs and TCs are attempting to achieve a peace and resolve the property issue.

Me Ed, if may say so, you're a gem, you've hit the nail right on the head. These are mainland Turkish businesses wanting a slice of the corrupt northern pie, and doing so with the support of the Regime, muddying the waters of the property issue and a wider settlement, and with the hope of getting the World's top performing stars to promote their schemes on Stolen Land and at the same time promote Recognition for the Regime.

Well so far this year with JLo, Timberlake and Rihanna... they have failed and failed very miserably.

The “Turkish Cypriots” do NOT deserve the benefit of the doubt that they do not partake in the unethical and deceitful “TRNC” campaign to promote/upgrade the illegal status of the occupied territory!

One look at the ridiculous proposals being put forward by their representatives in the gimmick talks is enough for anyone to realize their disgraceful ulterior motives!

Ttoli, many people are actaully overwhelmed when they find out about the atrocities of the Turkish Army in Cyprus. Almost one hundred rapes, over 5000 murders, missing people, ethnic cleansing. J-Lo did not realise the magnatude of the atrocities involved and I am sure you don't understand what happened. Do you think it is going to be pleasant and easy for crimes against humanity to be swept under the carpet by building a Casino on ethnically cleansed land and inviting a couple of pop singers over?

...... and it looks like a NO SHOW from the CF Ladies Fav Crooner Julio Iglesias......

http://www.todayszaman.com/tz-web/news- ... yprus.html

http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/n.php? ... 2010-10-07

.... and.... and .....and The Gr paper Alithia which seems to be the source of this story is apparently carrying an email from Julio which says...

“In his statement, Iglesias said he would never organize a concert in a place that calls itself a state but is not internationally recognized,”

... a bit reminiscent of the JLo statement a few weeks ago. ........ :D
