I am not Jewish, but it sickens me to see the anti-Semitic rubbish I see spouted from the braindead, here.

A serious dilemma :- Whether to be the 'King of the Schnorrers' or 'A Schnorrer among Kings' .....difficult.

Although it may be "thrifty to prepare today for the wants of tomorrow" (Aesop), it is wise to prepare today for the needs of tomorrow. Filitsa

Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few. All hearts go out to the fighter pilots, whose brilliant actions we see with our own eyes day after day; but we must never forget that all the time, night after night, month after month, our bomber squadrons travel far into Germany, find their targets in the darkness by the highest navigational skill, aim their attacks, often under the heaviest fire, often with serious loss, with deliberate careful discrimination, and inflict shattering blows upon the whole of the technical and war-making structure of the Nazi power.

The battle of Britain was a turning point in WW2. If the RAF had succumbed, the world today might be a very different place. For a start, Cyprus might never had gained independance.

Well said.My own Father was killed over Germany in a Halifax in 1944,my step Father was a spitfire pilot and fought in The Battle of Britain and luckily survived the war.To both of these men I owe my freedom and that of my children and to say I am proud of them is an understatement so please don't sully their memory with thoughtless replies to this post.

... and in a similar vein, and as this is CF, all due respect and more to the 25,000 volunteers of the Cyprus Regiment who took up the call to arms.
