If you were born in Cyprus during the period of British 'rule' then I am pretty certain that you know this ,and have taken full advantage to get a UK Passport

What a silly suggestion!!! The British or any other citizen of an EU member state has as much right now to reside in Cyprus as a Cypriot Citizen.

The majority of brits on the Island are not trouble causers but are more than happy to live and work (or retire) in a country they love.

Of course you will always get exceptions to the rule as in any other country.
