You are underestimating the political change that has come over the GC community since 1974. The days of lighthearted "patriotic militancy" are over. Since 1974 the GCs have taken their statehood seriously. What will stop private militias now is the simple principle of the "monopoly of force" evident on all mature societies and which leaves no room for those old antics. In other words there is sufficient force in the hands of the government to put down any self deluded patriots.

And once again I ask but get no response. In a country where all male citizens receive detailed military training for two years, what is the use of "militant camps" or other such bullshit. What more can they teach them in these "camps" which they have not already learned in the regular army?
