Islamic Autocracy of Turkey urged to pull-out of Cyprus.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

If you want to measure your dicks with someone, go find a guy who cares, I am the last person who would do it, not over football anyways

Since when did you become a Turk from Turkey, Shah.??? :? :? :?

But Turkey hasn't won anything. A Turkish registered club funded by a US Private Equity fund once won something.

Even Cyprus has the current world No1 in Shooting. :D

I just listed a bunch of other stuff they won, ignore it if you wish...

I think Kurupetos got the point, which was the objective.

The other country in discussion was mainly Greece and not the RoC. But lets put that aside for a minute and let me ask you why you would "declare" yourself as a Turk from Turkey, by saying "we never won anything" in reference you made about Turkey.?? It's the word "WE", meaning Turks from Turkey that concerns me, that was written by a TC. !!

Yes Kikapu, thats it, I am actually a Turk, it slipped out of my mouth, you got me there, after all these years.

Since we can't participate in any sport event, Turkey is the next best thing we have to support buddy, whats wrong with that?

The day we see TC teams out there, then we will suppor them instead.

Had Talat allowed your football teams to compete as a separate league under the CFA then you might have gotten your wish by now.

No, Shah, I was not accusing you of being a Turk from Turkey. I know others have done so in the past, but not me. My concern about the term under which you used the word "we" was more to do with the attitudes of some TCs seeing themselves as Turks and not as TCs, which would indicate to me, that assimilation of TCs into Turks would be in-line with what Turkey and Denktash had wanted all along, specially those who are in your age group and younger. The older TCs who also see themselves as Turks and not TCs, are mainly the Fascists and the NeoPartitionists.

There is nothing wrong with the TCs supporting Turkey in every sport they take part in. That was not the issue. The issue was when you identified yourself as being a "Turk" is what caught my attention when you used the term "we" and not "they".!!

Even then, who cares, they were 3rd in the world, when was the last time Greece got close?

Galatasaray aren't Turkey are they?

Who cares about 3rd place, Greece have won a major trophy. Offer any European football nation either European champions or a semi-final place at the World Cup and they would pick the European title every time. It's a much bigger achievement than reaching a semi-final at a tournament where many weaker nations play, and if you knew anything about football you would know this. The third place play-off itself is nothing but a meaningless game.

Who cares?

Thats pretty much all you can list.

And no I would always pick the World Cup, because you get to play a lot of nations, some who actually won the world cup several times, while 95% of Europe has not.

And Galatasaray is Turkey, what else would it be? Japan?

Galatasaray isn't Turkey, but a football club based in Turkey, big difference I think. It's like me calling Arsenal 'England', and they coincidentally barely have an English player in their team most of the time. Local football clubs do not represent national teams, once again you're highlighting your ignorance.

Further, what I posted above wasn't a list, but a correction to your inaccuracy. Who cares? Well you're the one posting errors, so you obviously do, or else why are you responding? So you would pick third in a World Cup rather than being a champion and coming first in Europe, which is easily football's strongest continent, and where most of the World Cup winners come from anyway? That's fine, I'm sure 99% of knowledgeable football followers would disagree. You talk about 95% of Europe not having won the World Cup, but outside of Europe, only South American nations have won the trophy, and Europe leads in overall wins. It is also a well known fact that in a World Cup there are many more weaker teams from third world nations in comparison to the overall strength of the Euros. And of course, you can't even compare reaching a semi-final with actually winning a tournament, it's quite obvious which is a far bigger deal! Like I said, highlights your level of knowledge regarding football. If that unlucky loser mentality is prevalent in Turkey it probably explains why Turkey has not even qualified for a tournament for so long!

Listen to what a top footballer who has played in both tournaments had to say:

http://www.goal.com/en/news/476/euro-20 ... -world-cup

Someone was claiming that Turkey had not won anything, and I just listed a bunch of stuff she won recently, I am still waiting to hear what Greece won, but so far all I got was some sorry excuse about the competitions not being equally important or some shit! You are the one who flooded the place with crappy football facts.

Going by your logic, Turkey has recently lost the gold medal against the USA with not a single white player, so I guess they actually played agains Africa?

Can you not read? What Greece has won in football and basketball has been stated several times and it's a hell of a lot more than Turkey!

With regard to your second paragraph, you are completely confusing two separate issues. I referred to Arsenal players not being English, by this I don't mean white or black. I mean they are actual foreign citizens, most can barely speak English. Several black players play for England and are regarded as English, just as those black Americans are regarded as Americans all the same. Nice try to skew the argument but you failed miserably.

Kikapu this is where your lack of experience with the people of the North really shows. It is obvious that you do not know enough of us, or you would know that most TC's are no where near to be assimilated by Turkey, as most of them dislike the Turks. If anything, they have already been assimilated by the UK and OZ, culturally.

Are we to be worried about that as well?

Cypriots have long proven that they are totally incompatible with anyone else, even with each other, we have no worries of assimilation, I think a solution will come long before that reaches alarming levels, and that's saying something.
