As if 1974 was not payment enough! This is the mindset we are dealing with, not settlement but punishment for some crime as they define it. Stay with that thought and see how resentment builds up fast.

You have read the European Charter of Human Rights I gather. You might want to brush up on property and other such mundane details, and when you are done read the EU rules about freedom of residence, movement and establishment. These things will be useful to you in the future when you attempt to justify residence in the north.

The Germans invaded from Calais to Stalingrad out of ambition and adventurism. Turkey intervened in 1974 in defence of TCs and to restore the staus quo in Cyprus.

There were none. There is a vast difference between a cause and a pretext.

Ambition is precisely what 1974 was about. Refer to Turkish FM Davutoglu's book "Strategic Depth" where he states that Turkey would have been involved in Cyprus even if there was not a single Moslem resident.
