GCs MUST PAY THEIR OWN PROPERTY COMPENSATION!!!!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Would it make it acceptable if the USA and the EU foot the bill? As has been suggested in the past!

Turkey must foot the bill, as they saw fit to fill the place with settlers.

(Before GR posts his usual crap)

There have been resolutions passed against all parties concerned in the Cyprob and no one sees Turkey as the only problem to it. If they did then the Peace accords or the Annan Plan would not exist or be the basis for a solution.

Again.....Would it be more acceptable if the USA and the EU payed the bill or are you hell bent on revenge for your perceived villains?

1963 on?

I don't believe there were large numbers of Turkish settlers on the Island back then and they the only reason Eroglu would put such ridiculous proposal forward.

Ed .... the Turks have no intention on a solution therefore they come up with crap proposals .... however, the receivers also think and have opinions too. Downer will laugh at such proposal :) even he will look at it and say "how pathetic". In any case I hope the talks fail because anything other than the right of return for refugees, sincere democracy to exist and equality among all Cypriots will be a recipe for disaster in the future

"OK. Point taken. Let's say then that they gave back 75% - would you allow them to have a constituent state that was 75% of Cyprus?

You have to see that one is not linked to the other."

I though I was bad at math!

They propose sharing the burdens along population percentages, ie 80-20, but not for they benefits. Let us have this magic figure, which they proposed for the federal fund, applied across the board and be done with it.

The compensation is bullshit, it might be officially figured out, in the end no one will receive it. There might be some junk bonds issued and supposedly convertible to cash or property etc ala Annan plan, but at some far off future date, that is to say never.

Leaving the issue of territory last is akin to planning a house in all details and then go searching for a plot to build it on, it is ass backwards. The letters BBF are in a logical order, they shout out the priorities clearly: Bizonal, ie Partitioned, Bicommunal ie ethnically cleansed, Federation ie partnership of the minority in the majority's business. We would have done very well to start with the first B' first.
