The interesting thing about this article is that there is no non-binding legal opinion to discuss as per gr's post - they're still working on it, as per the legal dept comment.
Corrected the missing quotation marks
Suspect that this one will eventually be referred to the ECJ for a definitive
opinion.

I don't believe this should go to ECJ .... the EU had made a decision to accept Cyprus as a member of the EU and recognise that the whole Island is an EU member State and its citizens are EU citizens except those areas not in control of the RoC which are under Turkish occupation. To this end the EU needs to accept the decision of its member State.
Secondly an occupation regime should not be rewarded by being given EU member State rights.

Please tell us that this is a typo. You do know that ALL Cypriots, even those residing in the areas not in the control of the RoC government, are EU Citizens, or qualify for EU citizenship?

Yes I do know that Cypriots residing in the occupied area are also citizens of the EU. It is a case of no being able to express it correctly. Don't you worry carpetbagger, unlike you and the TC's am trying to keep anyone out of what is rightfully theirs. Now take a hike
