Get Real,
Please, I feel embarrassed saying this but.......You seriously need to wake up Bro. The only so-called "repatriation" would be the 15'000 EOKA Soldiers (and their accumulated, now hundreds of thousands, of friends and families) whom landed on the island on the 15th July 1974 Coup who destroyed the AKRITAS plan! Oh you should have listened to dear old Makarios at the time; You should have removed the Turkish Cypriots "SLOWLY" and not in one sweep. Can you imagine how gutted the old GC folks must feels!!!
The Turks are there to stay....in fact, they are multiplying by the minute in their hundreds and we, TCs, are mixed in, pasted, converted even to the point of no return. Did you know Get Real that the OLD Turkish Cypriot Acsent no longer exists - check out the broadcasting of news BRT and ADA TV Channels and tell me if you can identify a hint of the OLD Turkish Cypriot way of talking. Exactly, in fact, I would even go as to say that some Turkish Cypriots can speak more fluent and "Turkish from Ankara" like than those reported boradcasting from the TRT1 channel. Those half GC words we once knew are not even known to the younger generation of Half (Turkish/Turkish Cypriot) Turkish Cypriots. The truth is this, you've allowed the Cyprus issue to Drag on for SO LONG now that it's lost its significance, entirely. Exactly With Whom is Christofias negotiating with? Can you ask Christofias to ask his Translator which acsent is Eroglu's team speaking in? Is it in the Old TC acsent or Turkish from Ankara......Ask him if they know what "Darabesi" means, or even "Babucha", or even "Satgo", and they will give a resounding "Yok". The old use of Darabesi for "Table", Babucha for "Slippers" and Satgo "Coat" were simply a bad dream for us Turkish Cypriots, one that was destroyed for ever by the EOKA of 1963 all the way to the "Annan Plan".
I find this hilarious, comical to the point that I'm sure the GCs are so wishing that they had recognised the TRNC way back in those Breakdance years of 1983 as it would have at least kept the "North" Turkish Cypriot. Admit it Get Real, the GC administration has seriously screwed up.
By the way, the above thoughts were related to me by Mr Hans Redeker - A French EU minister I interviewed only last week!
