Would you have taken me seriously if I said, "I do not like the texture of the GC ones, prefere the TC brand called Reha" ?

Obviously none of them would still beat Kadirye Teyze's, who is a sweet little septuagenarian that lives just down the road and makes it her self.

Hmmm nothing like squiggly, warm and fresh hellim in the morning to go with my local honey and village bread, enjoyed while surrounded by the sweetest smell of the early morning in Lefke! Oh my god!

I would fight you GC's just for this alone!!
Hellim and Honey?, Cant beleive my aunts when they eat Helim and Karpuz

Have u ever try the Nor with Pekmez ?

So Olives are Greek now?

Did you invent those while laying the foundations for humanity?

Plus Cypriot olives are pretty nasty.

And this is coming from an olive lover.

Small, hard, non-meaty and bitter.

That is everything you would not want an olive to be.

You Turks know nothing about this region's produce!

Cypriot olives are the best when cracked and covered with garlic , coriander and lemon. Otherwise, for simplicity, try Kalamata! ... All of them Greek! :D

Spanish olives are a LOT better than Cypriot ones, but unfortunately Turkish olives are the best I have ever had, so many different kinds as well.

Greek olives taste almost as bad as open-buffet breakfast olives in cheap hotels.

All the ethnic garbage to a side, I have not been impressed with anything I ate in none of the islands, RoC, Athens and Alexandroupolis.

I am yet to experience this ancient amazing Greek cuisine. Its like this myth everyone talks about but no one has ever seen.

Have you ever wondered who planted those olive trees in Turkey? An interesting thought, I'd say. :?

Turkey does produce nice olives, but I am biased towards Cypriot ones. They might not be fleshy but they taste good.

I also prefer any village hellim/halloumi to the factory made 'polymerous squeeky sponge'. Turkish Food Markets sell open halloumi produced in Cyprus by Stephanos. I like that the best.
