When hundreds of thousands of Cypriots went to the UK, the US, and Australia in the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s, they just got on with their lives! They didn’t get involved in the politics,[/quote]

They didn't need to get involved they were happy and had title deeds ! It's only at home they get shafted.

My my you are so clever with your insults however technically you may be correct since my father was born in 1913

You mean your mother knew who your father was?

I'm not sure why that was called for.

That's a stupid remark really, i'm sure the people who are unhappy would leave in the blink of an eye if they could find a buyer for their home. Especially with no title deeds.

Don't make a dork of yourself because in Cyprus you don't need deeds to sell!

I don't know why much further needs to be said about the plight of so many victims of such a corrupt society.

The pathetically childish comments being thrown back and forth needs to be seen to be believed. I don't think I've ever seen such idiotic behaviour from so many people in one place. Is this forum a particular magnet for those that lack debating skills or those that fail to be able to assimilate what's in front of them that they need to revert to this sort of behaviour?

Cyprus is the way the locals like it and that’s all that matters, so if you can't join them just beat it!

And now you can go back to your navel-gazing for the rest of your life, having proved you can do "abroad"! :D

I don't live in Cyprus no. I do own a holiday rental property there as well as in Portugal and Turkey.

I never said I found the UK boring or that there was any problem in my life. I don't criticise those who wish to live in Cyprus just say that it's not for me. I don't see why that should cause you a problem.

As for the magnet, I'm currently doing research for a Homes from Hell type program so will eventually get paid for browsing the forums. Mind you, Cyprus property is such a minefield that in just a couple of weeks I feel I have enough victim stories to make a series never mind one program.

On reflection from my other comment regarding the hatred on this forum, I do recall seeing such disgusting behaviour on a Pakistani/Indian forum once which was closed down for the racial hatred it incited. I do think it was mainly perpetrated by youngsters though. maybe this forum is the same.

The usual rubbish claim from the usual source. Several members of my extended family were signed up active members of British political parties, the wife of one of them even stood for Parliament in a general election in the 1990s. (she lost)

Are you Cypriot Jerry?

And now a stupid question from the usual source. Oh no, I forgot, British Cypriots don't count. Only those born on the island are entitled to express their opinions about Cyprus according to GR - a right proper Charlie

So you're a Charlie from England, did you know GR is a Charlie from Australia. Maybe you're both related?

Wouldn't surprise me to see this one closed down for the same reason one of these fine days.

Understandable when people slate the Cypriots for a single Income tax cock-up, but ignore the thousands who the British Inland Revenue screwed!
