RELIGIOUS CEREMONY AT AYIOS MAMAS

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

RELIGIOUS CEREMONY AT AYIOS MAMAS

Postby halil » Thu Sep 02, 2010 12:26 pm

Greek Cypriots attended a prayer service at the Ayios Mamas Church in Guzelyurt(Morphou) last night to commemorate Saint Ayios Mamas. It was the sixth service to be held at the church since the opening of the border gates between the North Cyprus and South Cyprus.

Most of the Greek Cypriots arrived at the church in buses and cars using the existing border gates, especially the Bostanci Gate.

It is good that the Muslim Turkish people of this island tolerate our Christian habits. Their generosity will be befittingly rewarded; perhaps not in this world, but eventually.

Hey dufus,

Cyprus has been a Christian island for two millenniums now! It’s the Ottoman Muslims that came here UNINVITED in 1570 to spread their death & destruction, not the other way round!

Not only have they murdered hundreds of thousands of our people over the centuries, but they’ve also desecrated 100s of ancient Christian churches in the last 35 years!

WAKE UP!

Hallo D.

It is possible you are asking too much. Geologists deal with earthly matters and record keeping.

Perhaps you did not call "Morfou" by the correct name. They are sticklers for formalities.

GET REAL, HERE IS YOUR PRESENT:

Steve Miller Band

Serenade

Did you see the lights
As they fell all around you
Did you hear the music
A serenade from the stars

Wake up, wake up
Wake up and look around you
We're lost in space
And the time is our own

Whoa, whoa
aaaaa

Did you feel the wind
[ Find more Lyrics on http://mp3lyrics.org/bLa ]
As it blew all around you
Did you feel the love
That was in the air

Wake up, wake up
Wake up and look around you
We're lost in space
And the time is our own

Whoa, whoa
aaaaa

The sun comes up
And it shines all around you
You're lost in space
And the earth is your own

Whoa, whoa
Whoa

I HOPE YOU LIKE...

Hallo Get.

History certainly speaks volumes for their almighty power. :!:

A minor point. Add to your figures those Churches converted to Turkish Mosques over the centuries and we can begin to marvel at the generosity they show with this minor miracle of allowing the Christians to continue to worship at Άγιος Μάμας church.

The minute religion is brought into a discussion everyone loses their rationality. In the 21st century, freedom of religion is a right under EU law, and the only reason to remember the 1500's is as a historical story.

And that goes for both Christians and Muslims, because we could just as easily talk about the atrocities committed by the Christians in Latin America (millions slaughtered) or the deaths caused by religious wars in France - and those are just off the top of my head.

If someone is not allowed to practice their religion freely then they should report it to the EU.
