Just returned back from bi-communal peace celebrations from Ledra Palace..... It was much crowed than last year one.........

If Eroglu was serious about a solution by the end of the year...

He would not have signed agreements with Turkey to install a water and electricity pipelines to the north until he saw the outcome of the talks, but he is forced to agree to it to futher enslave the TC to Turkish depenacy.

He would not have allowed Turkish multinationals to build huge hotel complexes in Agios Epiktitos before seeing the outcome of the current talks.

I even doubt the TCs voted for this puppet and he was probably installed by Turkey.

In a message marking the World Peace Day,Derviş Eroğlu has said that it is time to settle the Cyprus problem.

He expressed the TUrkish CypriotS Side readiness to speed up the negotiations and to conclude the talks by the end of the year.

He said agreement can be reached if the realities in Cyprus were not ignored and if the sides want sincerely to bring a viable settlement.

Eroğlu said that the Greek Cypriot Side should realize the fact that the Turkish Cypriots Side is sincerely working for a partnership agreement, but one which will not pave the way for a return to pre-1974.

Describing the World Peace Day as very meaningful, he said “we strictly adhere to Great Atatürk’s principle “Peace at Home, Peace in the World”.

“I wish all human beings a peaceful, prosperous and happy future”, the TRNC President said, noting that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is ready to fulfill its responsibilities towards realizing this objective.

EROGLU “WE WANT AN HONORABLE AGREEMENT”

TRNC President Derviş Eroğlu has stressed that he will not be putting his signature to an agreement which will not make it possible for theTC People to live an honourable life on their soil. The President said that any agreement to be reached should not lead to disquiet.

Eroğlu’s words came during a visit paid to him by a group of members of the TC Farmers’ Union who voiced their full support to the policies being pursued by the President.

Thanking the visiting delegation for their support, President Eroğlu reminded that the issue of property will be discussed during the three meetings scheduled to take place this month.

The President also announced that he will be holding contacts in New York in the coming days.

He said that he proposed a tripartite meeting with the UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and the Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias but added that his offer was not welcomed by Christofias.
