Drama at Sea !!.

Postby Schnauzer » Wed Sep 01, 2010 1:37 pm

I have just received some rather alarming news about a beautiful young 'Cabaret Artist' who has apparently been striken by an illness (which may prove fatal) on board a cruise liner.

It would appear, from the sketchy information I have at the moment, that the cruise liner is possibly owned (certainly manned) by an almost competely Turkish crew.

At present, the 'Entertainment Management' are rigorously attempting to suppress any details reaching the media and the reason for my being in a position to report is that I am acquainted with an Irish chef on board, he has (by text message) informed me of the incident.

Whether or not the cause of the illness is in any way related to 'Drugs', is not known yet but, it would seem (from what my acquaintance tells me) that the 'Management (which is Turkish) is more concerned about the loss of revenue than they are about the health of the unfortunate young Lady.

A truly disgusting attitude (IMHO) if such be the case.

I understand that a Turkish Physician has been flown from mainland Turkey and has been airlifted on board, currently all is 'hush hush' and I do wonder if any other member has any information to add to my own.

Did your Irish Chef acquaintance have anything to do with her illness?

"Oh Fie upon these Turks !", NOW the truth emerges and one can only wonder at the callousness of the 'Entertainment Managers' and those closely associated.

It would appear that the young Lady was paid in advance for her services, she apparently arranged for the monies to be paid into the account of her family (in poor circumstances) in order to assist them.

The crux of the matter now seems to be that certain 'Threats' have been issued to the family and that 'Medical Expenses' are being sought from them.

The Turkish physician is refusing to administer any treatment unless HE is paid in advance and a Jewish businessman on board the cruise ship is advancing a proposition, the details of which are, as of yet unknown.

What an extraordinary sequence of events, I can scarcely believe what I am being informed of.

THIS is no time for frivolity CBBB, I have just received information that the young lady's condition has deteriorated somewhat and there is much confusion on board ship, the Captain has confined many passengers to their quarters and the general consensus of opinion seems to be that there may be an outbreak of some contagious malady.

The Jewish gentleman (aforementioned) is apparently an eminent American surgeon (of that faith) and has offered to render assistance should certain 'Terms' be acceptable, whether the 'Terms' be of a nature that would infringe medical ethics, we can only guess.

What IS known, is that a sector of the Medical Area has been cordoned off and movement of passengers restricted.

A great deal of re-organization is taking place in that area and a variety of surgical and medicinal accoutrements placed within it, my contact is able to forward this information to me since HE is in a privileged position aboard ship.

Whilst typing this latest information, I have received a further message which informs me that the young Lady has now been placed in the confines of the cabin which has been converted into an operating theatre, her condition has worsened and it's not looking good. :?

Why do you type so much when you could have posted the same content with just 8 keystrokes?

It has just been announced, in order to allay the fear of contagion, that the young Lady has ingested some form of malevolent drug which is in no way associated with food intake (thus alleviating the distress felt by my contact who is the head chef and simultaneously answering Oracle's enquiry).

The young Lady's condition is critical yet the Captain is insisting that the matter should be kept 'On Board' for fear of attracting bad publicity.

One would have thought that the correct action would be to airlift the patient to a hospital, I do wonder why not ?.

There must be more to this than meets the eye. :?
