Well... at that point the stupid TC leadership couldn't get aware of that according to the AKRITAS plan they would have been presented to the world as if they abandoned their posts...
Had TCs had a better team AKRITAS(masters of arts and wiles of politics); the Cyprus problem would have been history very long ago... The result would have either been a united Cyprus where TCs and GCs had political equality as 2 communities or partition where the 2 communities lived as 2 allied neighbours...
Are you denying that Turkey had ordered the TMT to ensure that “Turkish Cypriots” break away from Greek Cypriots, in government, employment, and every other mixed activity, and seek “refuge” in specially setup TC enclaves?

The TC reaction against the 13 amendments of Makarios that were obviously an attempt to degrade TCs into something they had never wished and struggled/fought against; was a resentment and opened the old wounds still bleeding since the late 50s...
What if TCs hadn't abandoned their posts at all costs? Politically, it would have been the right step to show the whole world that what TCs wanted was a united RoC where TCs have had the political equality as a community....
