It's not the UN's job to chase after "Turkish Cypriots" who saw fit to abandon their posts (which incidentally they DID NOT deserve anyway) and start playing Rambo in their attempt to create a new Ottoman utopia!

As far as the UN is concerned, the RoC became a UN member in 1960 and remains as such locked in the annals of history.

That some former RoC citizens had a problem is not the UN’s problem, just as the breakaway Tamil Tigers can never have any adverse effect on the UN entity called “Sri Lanka”.

GR unfortunately as the years move on and am getting older I have come to accept one thing that these resolutions aren't worth the paper they are written on.

Do you think he can do that AND retain the little villa he was gifted in the occupied territory for sponsoring illegalities? Image

If that’s the case then anything else written by the UN cannot possibly have any weight either, so what’s the point of these “plans”?

Well... at that point the stupid TC leadership couldn't get aware of that according to the AKRITAS plan they would have been presented to the world as if they abandoned their posts...

Had TCs had a better team AKRITAS(masters of arts and wiles of politics); the Cyprus problem would have been history very long ago... The result would have either been a united Cyprus where TCs and GCs had political equality as 2 communities or partition where the 2 communities lived as 2 allied neighbours...

Hallo Get!

Will Cyprus be able to take the UN to the ICJ because it has failed?

Are you denying that Turkey had ordered the TMT to ensure that “Turkish Cypriots” break away from Greek Cypriots, in government, employment, and every other mixed activity, and seek “refuge” in specially setup TC enclaves?

Ismet Inönü, then the PM of Turkey said the otherwise in his letter...

The TC reaction against the 13 amendments of Makarios that were obviously an attempt to degrade TCs into something they had never wished and struggled/fought against; was a resentment and opened the old wounds still bleeding since the late 50s...

What if TCs hadn't abandoned their posts at all costs? Politically, it would have been the right step to show the whole world that what TCs wanted was a united RoC where TCs have had the political equality as a community....

... but under then the circumstances that nationalism and illiteracy were the driving force of TC leadership; they couldn't manage to play the game according to the correct rules... On the other hand; team AKRITAS played the game better than TC leadership and succeeded to create an impression that TCs abandoned their posts out of the blue as if the intention of GC leadership was not degrading TCs into a ineffective minority status and achieve Enosis...
