Please can anyone give me some info about Dubai 1 and 2 cable TV which I've been told is worth having.
What type of progs do you get, are they all American or a mix from other parts of UAE or Europe.

Koritsi, get yourself a satellite reciever and bring somebody in to allign the dish to Nilesat. There you will get Dubai 1, MBC 1,2,3,4, MBC Persia, Kuwait 2, MTV Arabia and many more free to air channels in both English (American) and in Arabic.

Thanks Hazza, but I am asking because my family and I always stay in Cyprus over Christmas and everyone else wants to watch telly - not me so much. We had Cyta TV one year and then Sky last year and now I'm looking at a villa with Dubai cable, so I wondered what sort of programmes.
I suppose we don't get any Greek channels??
I'm trying to learn Greek and Cytanet TV was good for Greek/Cypriot soap operas, but everyone else wants UK tv. I suppose there's not much chance of that from Dubai (Coronation St, East Enders etc ) I'm almost embarrassed to ask these questions.
