Why are you defending a situation where injustices are carried out on a daily basis not only against the T/Cs but those brainless Brits who through sheer greed "invested" their dosh in the occupied parts. I know personally at least a dozen T/Cs who have sworn NEVER to return to this corrupt and badly administered forsaken part of the world.
Look at the hospitals and the general healthcare available it is no wonder that the vast majority of T/Cs seek the sanctuary of the RoC Hospitals. The banks are fleecing the people , T/Cs and foreigners , who ever heard of banks charging more than 100% , yes they do I know it for a fact.

So you are saying the 80% would not be effected by the GR aspect of GC society who imo is the voice of the majority although they are not as honest as GR who we should take seriously as if we fall into the trap of trusting moderates like yourself who may not be intentionally pushing us into a very dangerous and explosive situation. Lets say we trust people like you Miltiades and unite why are GCs so against parameters and guarantees which they claim they will never exceed or abuse? their objections only fuel our mistrust and generates a further desire for a structure that will cover all the bases so as to leave them no room for manovere and tricks as to push us to one side and turn this island into a GC state with us as just another minority.
