On second reading I take issue with this bit as well, as it suggests the writer does not have an accurate handle on the Cyprus issue:


"Greeks and Turks each have nation-states beyond the island."


The guy is an idiot, no doubt.

But the Israel-Palestine analogy has been debated here many times.

The more people try to hold on to imaginary "nation states", the more they are likely to lose.


So stop hanging on to Turkey then, losers!
