Communal fees the responsibility of the owner, you cannot charge this to your tenant under Cypriot law .Just thought you ought to know as you obviously did not when you posted your apartment.

not so!!!!!!!!!!!!!

communal charges are only paid by the owner if the property is not rented!!!!!!

i have a book on communal charges both in greek and in english and it clearly states the tenant is liable for the communal charges!!! that is the law!!!!!!!

obviously you had nothing better to do this afternoon in dreary uk and decided to pick on my post and this post...... how sad.......

and i am guessing it must be your apartment you are talking about in peyia that with any luck you managed to rent out for 230 euros pm after your many efforts...(had a look at all your posts......)

well yes, if you choose to live out in the back of beyond that must be about the right price....... plus your's is not a penthouse flat.... mine is!!!!!!!!and mine is not on a noisy complex... no noisy neighbours brits or otherwise........

sad really that you have to ruin other people's chances out here just because your's crashed and burned!!!!!!!!!!!!!

erm,,,, excuse me!!!!!!!!!!

i am anything but a nasty person, the way i see it if you got nothing good to say dont say nothing at all!!!!!!!!!!

no one invited you to post on my add and this add, so get your facts right before you start name calling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we all come out here with dreams, some happen some dont.... but there is no need to post a comment that would minimize people's chances of making their dream come true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i hope this is the end of the mater...... no offence meant!!!!!!!!!!!

My apologies for trying to inform you of something I was told by several rental agencies with regard to charging the communal costs to a tenant.Obviously they were wrong and your information is right,I stand corrected if this is indeed the case.I have never tried to rent my apartment so all your comments about my "grotty flat in a bad area with noisy neighbours" is also a very offensive remark to make and I did take offence.I sincerely hope you can rent out your various rooms and properties at the prices you are advertising and have no desire to rain on your parade.I too had a dream,it is not totally lost but I am certainly more pessimistic about the situation in Cyprus having gone through the not very satisfactory experience of "trusting" developers, estate agents and other so called "professionals" over there.
Good luck with your endeavours in Cyprus.
