When the eagles are silent, the parrots begin to jabber.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

 That was great, love the lingo.
Gotto remember there are hundreds of unregistered CF Cyps amongst others world wide who read this forum.
Sometimes the heavyweight posts don't register as efficiently with the average Joe.

Cheers, Cap. And sorry to all the 'average Joes'! You really don't need to be so average, you know...

I am no great philosopher so perhaps you can explain in what context it was used by Churchill? It would be a bonus if you could also explain what malapapa is trying to tell us with this sig.

It's hardly rocket science... Winston Churchill's perceptive remark illustrates the tendency of ill-informed, inarticulate pundits (parrots) to set the tone of public debate when the more erudite opinion formers (eagles) refuse to enter the fray.

No, its not rocket science. You're no Winston Churchill though, far too vain and egoistic in fact.

I don't claim to be a Winston Churchill, although are you trying to tell me he wasn't vain or egotistical?

We can only accept you as you are… the scruffy little budgie that has run out of water and hasn’t had a seed in days!
