Renowned veteran Spanish singer Julio Iglesias is the latest star to reportedly have been pressured to cancel his decision to stage a gig in Turkish Cyprus following increasing pressure from Greek Cypriots.

The Greek Cypriot Alitheia daily reported on Thursday that Iglesias had cancelled his performance in Turkish Cyprus after being informed that the country he was about to perform in was only a “self-declared state.”

According to the news outlet, Iglesias is the fifth star to cancel his gig in Turkish Cyprus in the past four months. American Cypriot Greeks and Greeks are believed to have been behind Iglesias’ decision to call off his performance. They reportedly inundated his website’s e-mail inbox with messages informing him about the “ill regime” there. The Alitheia report quotes Iglesias as saying that the star would not perform in a state that is not recognized internationally.

Perhaps they could get Cyprus's famous George Michael to go over there and appear (when he gets out of jail).

If the Brit wanted Brit criminals in the occupied areas went back to the UK the prison authorities could hire Wembley for the night so that George Michael could perform for them.

I can't understand why people are wondering if this stupid game has been done or not ?

People are happy with the tourists visits from ledra(lokmaci) to arasta street.

people are talking privatizations of the telecom how many of our people will lost their jobs.

People are talking about new airlines will take place of the CTA's called North Cyprus Turkish Airlines.

People are talking what is our exact population... 260,400 thousands or million.

Even TRNC primer minister was against this cage fight. They tried to stopped it but some how they didn't have enough power to stoped even u can not see it on the papers in north only 2-3 of them said something... who cares.... whats happening to outsiders ?
