What's the point?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I honestly believed most of the responses would have been to ask me to excuse the rude officers conduct and that this was an isolated incident and perhaps such racist officers shouldn't be put on such duties. At least thats what I would have said if any of my GC friends were in the same predicament.

At least I have Paliometexo to thank for his understanding and sympathy. As for the rest of members comments, what can I say? We have them here in the UK, they are known as the National Front, BNP. They are condemned and detested by all decent law abiding citizens, I hope the likes of Get Real, Oracel B25 etc are the minority and are condemned by decent Greek Cypriots.

Decent, law abiding citizens do not recognise the green line of envy and hate, that de facto divides the island nation of Cyprus and its people, as a 'border'.

Remember that next time you want to travel north, ho you are probably one of the Gcs who have never crossed and at this rate will die without crossing.

Alan you have gotten off quite lightly but we all must accept that this is the voice of the majority of the GCs and that is what TCs would face in a united Cyprus only Palio gave some half baked excuse the rest just about agreed that you wer ein the wrong and that the officer was entitled to treat you both like shit.

Idiot. It's still not recognised as a border, except by crooks.

As it happens, the Green Line is recognised by the RoC and it has nothing to do with decency. It rather has to do with our stupid behaviour of the past that led to this predicament.

You need ID to enter a prison. That doesn't make the gate a border. Anyway, there's no argument here. As you're rather partial to Turkey's self-declared regime in the north, then to outlaws like you it's a border.

It's just our friend alan claimed he was trying to be impartial.
