Logs! I thought we would have to use clay pipes laid according to the cross-flow of run-off water and then compact with gravel -- But, laying logs sounds promising and much more, interestingly, natural! I don't mind constant maintenance (decadely or so) in an effort to avoid tarmac since I hate the smell of its deathly blanket!
