We put the day back to October so that it does not interfere with the holidays of bananiots. It is a matter of prioritising things. There is just one Cypriot that celebrates the day and he happens to be Turkish Cypriot. Yesterday, as he has done since 2004, he hoisted the flags of Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Britain, UN, Commonwealth and EU. In the first few years he was arrested for it, because he lives in north Nicosia. Yesterday he was not arrested. His name is Kamil Hur.

Actually the entire cabinet voted (GC's and TC's) because most of the diplomatic missions were away at that time during August.

Always good intentions bananiot aren't you.

Since the Queen celebrates two birthdays, why shouldn't Cyprus?

Besides, every day should be a National Day! :D

Happy (belated) Birthday my darling country, and may all your troubles be little ones ...

Always ready to excuse every stupidity, little one or big one, DT. Please show me prove that TC Ministers voted for this change of date for the celebration.
