Since the time when I was young from the time I heard Kim and puke ! I felt in love with him, his lyrics and all the little things about him, to our time being he is the only white boy who do black music better than Afro Americans (I used that term so I don't get called racist)

To be honest, Eminems entire sad existence relies on entertaining your kind only, so I am not surprised you have a "thing" for him.

by my kind u mean ppl under the age limit of 50 !!!

go get something to eat or have a drink...!!

its amazing how someone just say about a certain music its rubbish, better say its not for me or i dont understand it cause for other normal people it sound bit stupid to judge a whole music industry based on someone and i mean an individual taste.. when the majority proves they like it .....!!!!!

I am no where near 50!

The music itself is very expressive, as I have mentioned.

But it has become, nothing but garbage, which is true and can't deny if you know the slightest thing about rap.

Absolute crap !

Hmm maybe look up the definition of the word "music" and then re-evaluate your statement.

He is talking about the artistic aspect of it.

Music is art.

Rap is garbage.

So in order to call that garbage music, you have to either disregard an entire human histories definition of what art is, or you have to go get yourself another name

Lyrics is essentially poetry, which is a literary art. If you don't like it, that's fair enough, everyone has different tastes etc, but saying it's "garbage" and "not music" purely because you don't like it is somewhat ignorant. Nevertheless, some people can't be persuaded on such matters and i suspect you are one of these people, which is fine by me.
:D

I understand your rational approach, and by definition it might be true.

But the reality is, "bitches and hoes" would not find any place in neither poetry nor art.

That is the problem, it has become highly degenerate.

I totally agree, the golden era of hip hop is long gone, i don't know of any current hip hop artists i like.
I too despise the "bitches and hoes" rubbish. But as i said earlier, the likes of grandmaster flash, krs one, kool keith etc can't be catergorised in the same group as any of that shit.

And part of the reason why i love old hip hop so much is the use of samples, which included funk, soul, rhythm and blues etc etc... pretty much all other types of music in fact.

Back to eminem, i agree that his current output is dire, but i did like some of his older songs, like the ones i posted, which are again a long way from being "bithces and hoes" related. But in the whole scheme of things he isn't a patch on any of the true pioneers of the genre, and he has definitely gone down the commercial "sell-out" road.

Sorry but I have to disagree. Eminem is a class act and has actually helped the likes of 50 cent in their career. Most black artists are in admiration of his work and have great respect for him.

Well, it is not.

There is art and there is entertainment.

There is a fine line and rap music is on the opposite extreme!
