Translation:

We came alive, and became a brook,

We were startled, [and] became a stream

We reached the sea

and overflowed - by the grace of Allah.

Not easy to translate.

I am having a go at translating it but have come up with:

Irkildik = Race..........As in "we became a race" My Iphone originally came out with "Startled" but "race makes more sense no

The closest equivelant of "irkilmek" is "to be shuddered" i think... or "to be winced" because sufism is based on reformation by voluntary suffering...
