I still dont get this its ok for the GCs to have an army but not us. why?

an army we have but not 40 thousand holding the island hostage from greece.

btw do you know what happened with this thing? did the ta stop it and kill them all for even speaking a bad word against turkish army?

So let me get this straight you want us to get rid of the TA so that your army is left and have the advantage, why would we want to do that exactly?

its not your army its turkeys army... who hold the island hostage and are there by force splitting the island in two.. our army does no such thing. refusing to let ppl go home. they shouldent be in cyprus no one wants them here. not even the tcs.. or the 1%.. but at least some of you dont what good do they do when even tcs are telling them go away? saving tcs? from what? its all rubbish excuse to stay here

because as soon as the ta goes home we will come murder all of you muahahaha...

What matter whos army they are, they counter your army and 120.000 armed reservists which are a great threat to us, without the TA its unthinkable what they could and would happen on the instrustions of the GCs. If you were a TC would you take the risk of telling the TA to go home and expose yourself to GC domination and terror? You kid youself when you say no TC want the TA army here, in a recent poll over 80/90% of TCs trust only the army far more than they do the EU.

If there was even a 1% that GCs could turn on the TCs population would you take it? when you have the means to bring this % down to zero.

lets say we accept partition we love the trnc we want two states and we live happily under two states each to govern themselves.

once the turkish army goes home whats to stop us crossing the border and killing you all? they eventually have to go.

this we will kill you all and they are here for our safety is not valid excuse any more.maybe 30 years ago it was.

Guarantorship

As zan says guarantorship, security pact with Turkey, our own TC army just agree to partition and we will deal with the rest.

Tou cannot be taken seriously if you are telling us to get rid of the TA and hope that everything will be OK, why not get rid of the GC army and hope for the best?

because we are the ones giving to the turks and in return they say why should we give anything and spit in our face, its time for turkish side to make a big move and show us you want a solution.

plus we had the 1960 deals which according to you we are the ones who broke it. so a deal did not make any difference for those who wanted turks to die they still did it. no words or names on paper changed or stopped them from doing anything.. so what makes you so sure it will this time? if your so afraid with out the 40 thousand army soldiers with out a deal. you should be just as afraid with the deal and no army there also...

we have secret tunnels going into the north, gc army men cross all the time at risk of being shot by turks. whats to stop us from secretly coming over and shooting as soon as we sign any type of deal and watching the ta army leave? deal or no deal it makes no difference.

your army is there with guns to our head saying your not going home, ours is there in case the army decides to one day try come and take more of cyprus. how about us not feeling safe knowing the turkish army could advance any second and come kill us?..

and even if the ta army where to go home and we have gone over this but you say it would not be so easy for them to come back but they would go home and say we attack. then they are 75km away from us which today in the airplanes would take 10 minutes for 100.000+ turkish army men to be in cyprus to stop us.. and no law or eu saying stay out will stop that. as we all know turkey is good at ignoring the eu and un and any one who does not agree with their ways. and who will stop them? the same amount of people willing to force turkey out of cyprus thats who! you said last time no one would let turkey back in.. but who will be there to stop them? who is there now?!?!? exactly!!! no one...

so i fully disagree with ta being here. tc army yes. there is over 500.000 of you now. you would have a strong tc army. my tc friends in the north are going to army in september and he wishes he did not have to go. but what will they be doing now? turkey is there doing their job for them... my other tc friend in the south he run away from the army if he goes back into the north they will take him to prison.. but any way thats another story.. my point was there is plenty of new tcs to protect the north in any absense of turkish army

The TA have given all Cypriots a peaceful exsistence for the last 36 years, they have stopped GCs from doing anything stupid and repeating the mistakes of the past. If you remove this factor before finding a comprehensive solution you are asking for trouble as how will guarantee the safety of everyone?

we are 256,000 what has that got to do with anything we would be fighting 1,000,000 gcs so our army must be bigger.

Without the ta i hate to think what would happen 1963 all over again. Your peaceful exsistence is purely down to the TA acting as a deterrant.
