Those TCs who are considered as far-left represent less than 1% of TCs... when they act against the existence of Turkish troops in North, overwhelming majority of TCs condemn them...

I personally can't understand why they are against the existence of Turkish troops in North under the current circumstances but respect their freedom of speech... I hope their concert is not cancelled...

I would say good luck to them.

The TCs who are brave enough to ask the TA to leave are not necessarily of the far left. The far left might be about 1% but there are average and non=political TCs who also wish the TA to leave. Whether they are courageous enough to voice their wishes is debatable - with all the scare tactics and intimidation going on.

Then on the other hand, if the TA leave the island, the only beneficiaries would be the TCs - more spoils of war available. I cant see GCs profitting, unless they will feel less intimidated by their absence. They may even take their 'Pentadakylon flag' with them too.

Do we think the RoC would attempt to take military advantage of the absence of the TA. I doubt it very much.

Everyone would LIKE to see the T army go home but Most see them as a neccessity because of GC aggression....for fear of more "Intercommunal Fighting"........Too many Greek ultra nationalist trying to tear down the TRNC flag to give the "RoC" enough reason to step in as the "Official" force for crowd control.

GR is a comedian. Why be afraid of him and his one man army?

Hatlerine gelir mi? It would never come to that.

I have more of a problem with who they elect than the unelected war monger GR

You commend the TC who are against the T army but when is there going to be a concert in the "RoC", lead of course by Miltiades, protesting the Greek flag and national anthem :?:

So what's their problem with TA? Why i and vast majority of TCs especially the adults have no problem with the existence of Turkish troops? What if there were, let's say 20.000 TC troops instead of 23.000 Turkish troops? Would you ask TC troops out? Would you ask TC troops to end the so-called occupation?

I, like a number of Greek speaking Cypriots have absolutley no perception of "Greece" as my motherland.

My motherland is and has always been my beloved Cyprus.

I have been to Greece, particularly the islands, several times and and my take of the place (as some one who was born and raised in Hackney), is rather like when I went to the States, all that we have in common is that we speak the same language, but they have a funny accent.

There a couple of guestures that both sides can undertake on the path to reconciliation.

On the GC side, the national anthem must be changed and the occurences of the Greek flag must be dumbed down, perhaps they should replace all the Greek flags flying along side the RoC flag to EU flags.

On the TC side perhaps they could take down the flags on the mountain, and reduce the number of Turkish flags on display.

and there was I thinking that you TCs owned some serious assets in Limassol.

You are now avoiding the issue, we would rather cleaning toilets in cratos than some Gc hotel, when will you people start to learn that we prefer the Turks over GCs and the only way we can even tollerate unifying with GCs would be using a plan like the AP which you people rejected. Plus we do own some serious land in and around Limasol my family included.

Turkey, your mind fuck on VP is complete.

I know it is painful to heear MeEd but thats how things have developed this viewpoint is also fulled and support by the intrangience of the GCs so no one is innocent in this mess. The boat left many moons ago all we are doing now is playing silly buggers thinking that "Cypriots" can find a solution....the solution is what we have today and we are not clever enough, embrassing enough or compromising enough to agree anything so we deserve what we all have today.

They are very small in numbers of no significant importance.

Very odd that on average I speak to 15 - 20 T/Cs here in London. NONE share your views , is it because the ones that I speak to ARE T/Cs whilst the ones that you talk to are settlers.
You go on telling us that its only a tiny minority that want Turkish troops out , I hear otherwise mate from true T/Cs.

Exactly the ones you speak to are in the UK and have no effective say in the running of the TRNC.
