You haven't done anything Bananiot other than criticize Cyprus almost on a daily basis.

Mmmmm....

What have you done GR :?

You’re asking a fanatic Cypriot Nationalist cum Choirokitian Fascist, who has been a staunch supporter and promoter of the RoC, and CNG army reservist, what he’s done?
  Well that gives you the comparison to answer the question you asked Bananiot....If outside powers were going to make friends I think they would give you a miss!!!

Outside powers can be “friends”? That’s news to me!

Zanny, there is only ONE language with which you make “friends” (read those that fear & respect you) and that’s a wielding stick (the bigger the better).

There is an old story that doesn't seem to translate into English very well but the gist of the story is that; a man who is intent on killing a fly, shoots himself in the head when the fly lands on it. His mates cry of victory is " " One yours and one of ours" not taking into account the difference in size of the two. There is no record of what the Flies strategy was

You are the fly looking for a complete idiot to risk his own life to save a fly only fit or birds.

As for your big stick........Your donkey awaits!!! 8)

But one could easily say that you exacerbate the very problem you claim to exist…

Zanny, what you've perfectly described above is the attitude of the "Turkish Cypriot" community! Image

"Megali Ellada" per Bananiot.

Megali Ellada, Magna Graecia or Greater Greece in English, is alive and well in southern Italy. I am currently learning the Grico dialect which is very similar to Cypriot.

Megali Idea was Venizelos' dream of Greece straddling two continents and five seas.

Unlike some Greeks who are firmly fixed on the east and all it symbolises I tend to look westwards, hence the interst in Megali Ellada rather than Megali Idea.

Gosh Nikitas, when shall we claim it back? Megali idea, megali Ellada, megales katastrofes. Mr 2-5-4, Eleftherios Venizelos, 2 continents, 4 seas and 4 wars!

Bananiot asks: "Gosh Nikitas, when shall we claim it back?"

If you are referring to Magna Graecia, hopefully never!

You are assuming that I am one of those Greeks who see everything as a possession, an attitude that cost, in addition to the loss of Greek presence in Asia Minor, the loss of the Greek community in Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, the Black Sea coasts, Romania, the Danube, and others. Greeks are incapable of encompassing the non resident non subjugated Hellene. Professor Yannaras commented a few weeks ago on this loss, and how it represented the most noble part of Hellenism. It is no coincidence that some of the greatest Hellene philanhtropists came from the overseas communities.

No, Bananiot, Magna Graecia is not for taking, it is there for understanding and enjoying, and for making Greeks feel awkward.

Bananiot, here is a stanza from a Grico song, titled Ela mou conda. Just imagine the awkwardness of Greeks, solidly imbued with the linguistic rgidity drummed into them by Babiniotis and co, at these lyrics and the pronunciations which inlcude plenty of double TTs, SSs and thick J and CH sounds!

o potamo erchete an din ozzia
ce catavenne cato sto jalo
ula ta esparia ine dispasmena
erchone na piun glicio nero
o potamo erchete an din ozzia
san erchete to mina tou majiou
olo to cosmo fenete chloro
ce tragudhusi ola ta puddia
jati ameno ton kalo kero
