THANK You Loucos Charalambous

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I will not take seriously anyone who proposes we start an armed struggle against Turkey. But, I am at your disposal any time Tony and I agree with you that face to face talk is more productive. Military bases to China, Russia, France ... this is absurd. For a start, these countries do not want military bases in Cyprus and if we are clever, we should not play the game in Turkeys court, ie on the military side where we are doomed from the start. We can only face Turkey politically, but with rational options not silly ideas that will bring the end of GC's in this island. In fact, what you are suggesting is the quickest way to turkify Cyprus.

Did you even read the proposals from the Turks lately? Who is the bloody fool here? My properties are not negotiable! Wake upl!!!! Only war will get these barbarians of this small piece of land which is called Cyprus. Why dont you read some history. Turks never give back what they confiscated with violence!

there is one thing funnier than a fool and that is a old fool that never learns.

You should, because I am not the only sociopath here! GR! is one as well, and it is only a matter of time before someone like us take control of Cyprus and and prepare the nation for the inevitable!

You don't have the brains to face Turkey politically, and how can you when you lost the war!

No, someone like Netanyahu!

We have tried these disastrous negotiations with the most compromising, defeatist and disastrous Governments of ALL time, and this will only pave the way for someone that just won't take this kind of shit anymore and who calls a spade a spade.

"I said that we need to start preparing for one, as this is what Turkey is likely to initiate if it is eventually not let in the EU"

Which is totally different and cannot be confused with initiating a conflict. The Turks are masters at pushing those that they perceive as weaker, witness the daily violations of air and sea space in Greece, the incursions at will in Iraq. They would never dream of pulling the same crap with Iran or Russia..

We are dealing with an adversary that can only be described as THRASYDEILOS, as for the so called rapid economic growth etc, it is mostly manufacturing for foreign interests with zilch technological innovation, and dependent on heavy export subsidies. Let us get off this "local superpower" tack. They may be local but there is nothing super about them.

I can only conclude that you are also blinded by nationalism, Nikitas. There is so much contradiction in what you write, for example, Turkey only recently stood up to Israel and in the past, can you count the number of wars Turkey fought with Russia? You can paint a picture of Turkey in the way it suits you, but it will be far from real.

So, you do not want us to embark into an armed struggle against Turkey today, but you say that we should prepare for one tomorrow. This is childish talk and really there is no point in pondering over such nonsense.

It is only inevitable that Turkey will attempt to take control of the entire island. They only need the right conditions and then it will be on once again. It may take 10, 20 or 30 years, there may or may not be a so called solution in the mean time, but Turkey's agenda is obvious!
