Partition was the policy, former TC Prime Minister

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

The website that looks partly Hellenic, partly Choirokittian and partly mixed ethnic origin is not much user friendly... even though it is the main source, does not appear on top of the google search... at least before the hellenic-slavic website...

A quick look at the responses fascinates me, every single instance is a rewarming of the old "when face with Enosis would you not resort to partition" etc.

But 1974 PROVED beyond all doubt that the GCs were willing to fight and die to STOP Enosis. However, we all know that this is beside the point. Turkey was never interested in the neutralisation of Enosis, the policy of TAKSIM was always actively pursued. Atoun confirms it. And his confirmation allows a logical conclusion that Taksim cannot stand alone as a long term goal. Partition is untenable no matter how many guarantees are given and by whom. The logical conclusion is that the long term goal is control of the whole island. Ironically Turkey wants Enosis more than Greece ever did. The means used to accompish it are so transparent and so heavy handed even Atoun saw through it eventually.

The evidence is too clear and too loud to take any other interpretation.

GCs? Or a bunch of leftists that under then the circumstances had to postpone their Enosis dream because Greece was under the rule of anti-leftist dictators who sponsored the coup supposedly with a bunch of terrorists... Actually majority of NG was on their side and they were heavily armed to mercilessly destroy all the so-called resistance fighters in a few days...

Stop denying the obvious Nikitas... what's happened then? After the events of 1974, those "bunch of terrorists continued to threaten Makarios and put infront of him 10 conditions to accept or otherwise they would start a civil war...

Result? Makarios not only accepted their conditions but forgave all of them with an amnesty...

On 2/3 of Cyprus, GC community achieved political union with Greece which as a consequence of the events of 1974; returned to democracy...

The page on this link has some minor problems... there's a thin yellow line where you mention the names of fallen and on top westwards of the page, the "report abuse" button only shown a little but still clickable... the page connected to the link you previously posted has no problems...

I use Firefox 3.6.8
