OK, Zan, so you can't make any similarities between the Blacks and the TCs as to why they both commit crimes based on "Cause & Effect". Hardly surprising really.!!
The purpose of your argument I thought was about "Cause & Effect", so naturally, one needs to go back to see what are the causes that produces the effect. Slavery was not the main point of my post, but the correlations between slavery times and since and the times of Ottomans (TCs) in Cyprus and since are both different end of a very large spectrum. One group were slaved and oppressed and the other were occupiers and oppressors for a very long time. But lets get pass the slavery era and look at the racism inflicted on the Blacks by the Whites since, which was on top of the destruction of their family fabric and cohesiveness. The family structures were fragmented along with their dignity and their rights as human beings, whether they were in America, Caribbean islands, or on their home turf in Africa where their country and people were exploited and treated as 3rd class citizens with very little rights, while deprived of their countries wealth. The blacks as a race have been used and abused as long as one can remember going deep into history, therefore, racism did not start with shows like "Till Deaths Us Do Part" in the 70's, but way long before. I know you want to talk about today only, but today are only the effects. The cause has been all along. This does not apply to the TCs what so ever.
Now, Zan, show me how you can compare the TCs to the Blacks and their history which gave the "Cause" that lead to the "Effects" today. If you are trying to suggest that the era for the TCs between 1963 to 1974 equals to the past historic events that the blacks went through, then we too can laugh at you for your absurdity. If you are trying to link the TCs of today as victims equalling to the Blacks to justify in dealing of stolen GC lands so that the TCs can drive in brand new cars, then you have no grasp for the reality at all. Turkey as the occupying power in the north has the ultimate responsibility to make sure all the needs of all those living in the north are met and taken care of. If you have any complaints that the needs of any of the TCs living in the north are not met and have to resort to criminal and unethical activities like dealing in stolen GC properties, you should direct them to Turkey and no one else.
As I've said, there is no comparison as to what the blacks went through to what the TCs went through, but would be happy to read your similarities that you think justifies selling of GCs properties. Since 1974, the TCs have been their own "Efendi" along with their "motherland" Turkey, so where is the oppression from anyone, other than perhaps, Turkey. Surely you cannot expect the GCs to buy those in the north brand new cars so that they do not sell of their land to others. Why are you not directing your complaints to Turkey, that's what I like to know. The north only sold $35 million US Dollars worth of export last year to 70 million Turks in Turkey while the north imported over a $Billion's worth. If you can't see where the TCs problems lie, then you are just refusing to look at the source of the problem and instead, you want to make justifications of the thefts of GCs properties. You can do that if you want, but please, leave the Blacks out of the argument, because the TCs past events does not qualify them to have had the "cause" in order to justify their "effects" today. It's only an excuse and nothing more.!

No with slavery.......Are you saying that slavery has altered the genetics of the present day "Blacks" so that they offend more
Please go back and read what I wrote on the subject and you will find that I am talking about the here and the now....The racism that effects the living and not those long gone. A blackman has no excuse for his bad ways if he is allowed to survive as an equal and in many class systems they are allowed to do just that. In the lower classes, as I stated, it is quite a different case. I am not aware of a white collar black problem.
Zan, you have ignored almost what I had to say where I have pointed out to you where the TCs problems lie, and it's not with the GCs and neither does is have any similarities to the Blacks. Unless you place blame where blame belongs, you are just making justification for the crimes committed, when it comes to the GCs properties in the north.!
