hi hi calm down lol... 1st of all i aint religious but i understand Islam!!

the point of Ramadan is to appreciate what you are giving, no one is starving !!

no one days if they didnt eat half a day!!

and Ramadan isnt only about food !! obviously you the one that have no idea about it !!

Ramadan is to fast on everything that is bad, its about love for the people, and for Allah your creator !!

its about family when they all setting down in the Efttar time to eat together, no one hates Ramadan unless they aint muslims and its understandable !!

non muslims will makes everything that is muslim bad name, including the holly month...

show some respect for muslims and their traditions cause if you not its called being racist and ignorant

Well I am technically "a Muslim" being brought up in a Muslim world and all, and I can tell you Ramadan is about, from the guy who makes your kebab, to the guy who drives your bus, doing everything while constantly cursing his life. No body is happy and everyone is even more aggressive than usual!

Starving yourself only so that you can go and consume MORE food than you usually would in a day, on a single meal, is hardly appreciation nor healthy and refusing to drink water on a 35C summer day is idiotic.

It not only ends there, but other people also feel that they have the right to tell you off for not joining them with their "love for the people", so much that, they do end up on newspapers every year because of violent attacks against people who were doing nothing but sitting there eating or smoking a cigarette., minding their own business, on the wrong time of the day.

If you are a woman and you are having your period, your starvation is not considered to be "worthy" of by the so called creator, because he considers you to be "dirty" at the time!

I can go on for ever, about how pointless and self-contradictory fasting is, but I'm glad that you can see Ramadan from such a naive and positive perspective, unfortunately the reality is anything but. :D

Not all non muslims Figgy - but can you explain to me why some parents make their children join in the fasting too? When you consider a lot of Muslim countries are extremely hot, I for one find that quite amazing! Sorry if you find this offensive but that is my oprinion!
