‘Greek Cypriots

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Nikitas » Tue Aug 10, 2010 1:34 pm

Cyprus does not have to ener into an arms race with anyone. The role of the Cyprus NG is not to cross the seas and project power and all that idiotic stuff that Davutoglu )(Turkish FM) is dreaming about. Cyprus must be able to resist any attack for a few days. How is that limited goal seen to be an "arms race" with Turkey.

Going below this minimum military capabiilty is reckless. It is more reckless than exceeding it, as happened with the S300, (assuming that the S300 deal was not a preplanned move, something I am not sure about to this day).

I know that you Bananiot will not use the expressive language that I prefer to use when responding to a couple of bloody fools farting away. Here is GR, Cyprus's official Bin Laden / Taliban mouth-peace talking absolute crap , his trade mark really , the moron actually believes that a solution can only come from war , thousands upon thousands could lose their lives , the Cypriot infrastructure its roads its economy would collapse , but there again as Simple Simon says lets spend more money on defence then we can ...defeat Turkey.
A pair of Plonkers without a doubt.

Another idiot who can't understand a simple logical proposition I have put forward. Currently what we are doing makes no sense. You cannot understand that because of your advanced years. The only plonker you senile old fart is you!

You're just worried we send your useless decrepit old arse to the frontline first. I only wish you silly old fucker!

You have always been ready to defend stupidity just as you are doing now you stupid fool.
As a young man I joined ANE encouraged by my older brother an active member of EOKA .Fools like you are the assholes who gifted Turkey a third of our island , the guilty traitors are the ELLAS ELLINON XRISTIANON poushtokalamarades, chickens and yellow bellies who now scream the loudest.
Listen stupid , there can be one and only one solution and that is the political one.
How many Cypriots would lose their lives if such a war took place , do you fucking care of course not just as long as you stand to attention singing the praise of Greece , your motherland , I just hope that if something sinister was to start she , Greece , is not at resting mode !!!

 If you know what "feasible" means then you must also have a crystal ball to predict the future!

Do you personally GUARANTEE that a "BBF" will be practicable Bananiot?

(Putting legality and compatibility with the UN Charter aside for now)

Nikitas, for arguments sake, let us suppose we get S300 or some other system that will protect us from the TAF. Turkey then upgrades her airplanes to deal with this system and she can afford to do it. What do we do next? Buy the next version of antiaircraft missiles, at a huge cost, no doubt? This is called arms race in my book and it will end with the economic collapse of Cyprus.

I object to anyone implying that Miltiades isn’t a great political ThinkTank!

No idiot, it was fools like you! It was your generation that gave 37% of Cyprus to Turkey, not mine. I am trying to inject some logic into GC thinking after years are listening to idiots like you who not only want to perform fellatio on Turkish nationalists but actually want to give up our whole identity at the same time! I think it is only proper that an inadequate traitor like yourself gave your life up for Cyprus as some kind of 'sorry' for all the shit your generation caused. That way the younger generation can say good riddance to you and start to sort out the mess you lot left!

Further, to Bananiot and others who have suggested likewise, I am not arguing for an arms race. I am arguing for defence spending which reflects the reality that our island is under occupation, in order for us to not just be able to hold Turkey off for a few days, but be able to carry a real deterrent which Turkey would respect. As I said previously, if we are not capable of such, then why bother wasting the money on defence at all. It is this lack of logic I am questioning.

No, proper military preparedness does not follow this philosophy. There are appropriate steps for each situation. There is no need to play the arms salesmens game. Turkey will always be stuck in a spending groove because it is locked in a geopolitical nightmare of its own making. It has dreams of projecting power far overseas, hence the idiotic mission of five frigates to patrol the waters off Spain, Algeria and Morocco a few weeks ago.

Our problem is to delay any attack long enough so as to survice on the island as a community. This does not require huge arms expenditure.
