Congratulations to Anorthosis for a fantastic result!

This gives me the opportunity to see them when they play Rangers in the next round, as I live in Scotland.

As others have said, hopefully there will be no trouble from the turks after their team has gone out. That would ruin the night.

Good evening all and congratulations to any Famagusta fans on your fine victory against Trabzonspor.

I'm interested to hear how you chaps feel ahead of your forthcoming tie against Rangers. It should be an excellent encounter with both sides feeling that they have a good chance to progress through to the group phase.

The previous meetings between our clubs were very evenly balanced and I wouldn't expect these games to be any different.

We don't know a great deal about your current side, except that you have Kinkladzie and Ketsebia (sorry about my spelling) among your ranks.

Any thoughts you might care to share would be greatly appreciated. :)

Welcome to the forum.

The last time these to met in European competition, Rangers sneaked through.

Protecting a 1-0 lead from Glasgow, Rangers scraped a 0-0 draw at the Antonis Papdopoulos Stadium.

I was at the game in Lanarca and Rangers were well and trually outplayed. Have never seen a more releived team at the end of a game!

Thank you for the kind welcome, Pete!

I remember the game in Lanarca well (although I was not there). Famagusta played very well and had every right to be dissapointed with the outcome of that match. Back then, I think the problem for Rangers was that we had spent a lot of money on our squad (we'd just signed Paul Gascoigne and Oleg Salenko) and after being knocked-out by AEK Athens the previous season, there was a lot of pressure on us to go through - particulalrly as we were viewed as strong favourites.

It was a nervous performance from Rangers and again, I think we'd be happy to go through no matter how tight the games might be.

Overcoming Trabzonspor was a remarkable feat, since they are a strong side. In all honesty, I'm happier to be facing Famagusta than the Turks but even though I anticipate a very difficult tie, I expect Rangers to go through.

Are there any players to watch out for in the Famagusta side. We know all about the quality of Ketsebia and Kinkladze; are there any other exciting players in your squad?

Not my squad as Im an Omonia supporter. The players that u mention are the most well know of all the Anorthosis players. Nobody else really stands out as Anorthosis play as a collective team rather than individuals.
