You should 'You Tube' Kolbasti. Its a great routine and very enjoyable.

I am glad you posted this to see peoples ignorance of others traditions.

Haydi reh hep beraber Kolbasti.

Deniz, its all good and noble, but I think random passing people can tell the difference between a wife beating and a dance.

Another example of how the Turks try to pull the wool over peoples' eyes. The poor woman had to go along with his story or it would have been an "honour killing" for her!. Sorry, but this sounds like the version where everyone knows it's Genocide but the Turks call it "self-defence" and also all and sundry report an Invasion but the Turks call it a "peaceful intervention".

We have not much of the evidence here, but I have posted a you-tube clip to show our readers the dance. In other clips the 'slapping about' is visible and is done in good humour. If they were doing the Kolbasti the authorities are the 'dumb' ones and not the Turks. Until the whole case is presented then enjoy the fun.

If it is a case of genuine wife beating in the truest sense, then hang the bastard.

How convenient to have invented a dance one can hide behind! Truly amazing attention to detail ...

BTW ... the youtube you posted in no way looks like a delight in "wife-beating" such as you wish to portray.

Of course, dumb Greeks, French etc, never beat their wife. They just shower them with roses.

If its two men doing the dance, what then.

The dance represents drunkards outside a police staion and involves a gentle scrap.

Its fun, but pointless arguing with those who are hell bent on turning it into a wife beating dance.
