Will Sean Paul manage to take the stage on both sides...?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Actually, that's up to you. Do you act and feel like an Ottoman remnant like, say, VP, or like an indigenous islander, like me?

The Turks fought off the Ottomans during a very long and bloody series of battles.

The Ottoman ruling class were turned into penniless peasants and sent to several parts of Europe to live very long and very miserable lives, only a few of them remain now and were never allowed to return.

They are not Brits, they are not still proudly trying to keep their murderous, shit stirring Imperial days alive in the year 2010 by feeding that filthy rich whore in a glass box as a tourist attraction. They are very aware of what they did and they did not, hence why they fought them off.

So when you say "act or feel like an Ottoman remnant" I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

Act and feel like you own the place... or the "North" at least.

shahmaran wrote:But yeah, I really want to know how long it takes for one to become indigenous, and what is the criteria to become one?

You say I have to "feel" it, what is it that I need to feel, and what makes you think that I already do not?

Maybe you do. I've no idea how you feel. I can only go by how you act on this forum. And calling yourself a "North Cypriot" excludes you, (according to my indigenous handbook).

I literally own a great chunk of Lefke, and I live there most of my life, I have no where else to go, nor have I any plans to.

Can I now join your indigenous club without being from the RoC?

If you were one of us, you'd know whether you could join or not...

I know I am "in", whether you or anyone else likes it or not!

I bet someone's paying you to come up with this crap.

If I was getting payed then I am clearly not funded well enough or I would be here ALL the time like a lot of the others. I am just a simple North Cypriot.

This term could be considered offensive to many. Surely you know that. If you're here for free, why not choose your words more carefully?

No, I was just being ironic.

Malapapa I know exactly who would be offended and who would not, the people who do, know who they are, and are exactly the ones that should take offense.

If my village is out of bounds, as it's a military zone, does that make me a 'North Cypriot'? I have a TC friend in the UK whose family is originally from Limassol. Is he a North Cypriot?
