I have just returned from the TRNC visiting my family and decided to take a trip down south as I have never seen my parents village. To my suprise (or suspision) what I saw was Greek mainland flags flying next to the Cyprus flag.

Gc's have always told me they are not Greek they are Cypriot, but as I suspected this isnot true. Why would you fly the Greek Flag in Cyprus. Here in Australia, we don't fly the British flag (although the union jack is imbedded in it), or the USA flag?

All I can think of is Enosis still exists.

really? coming from the TRNC? you see greek flags every where? there is hardly any of them compared with the north. its literally one huge turkey flag in the north every other building you see there is HUGE ones. compared to the north we have no greek flags and we are taking them down also. trnc puts more up

Any visitor, over the past two or three decades, will agree that the gr flags have decreased and decreased, so there are few of them nowadays.

Contrast this to the Occupied Turkish Army Camp of the north, the tr flag and those mass-produced statues of adahturk are everywhere, along with the increasing number on mountain-sides.
