How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

And which links are these? You mean like J&P taking on public works in Greece? Or Bank of Cyprus expanding its branches? Or one of the biggest shipowning companies being Cypriot owned? You know which one it is, it belongs to Sir Stelios' dad. Cprus owns more in Greece than Greece owns in Cyprus. Turkey owns the whole of the TRNC it seems.

What a broken argument. Unlike us you have all the access to free trade and transportation with the rest of the world.

Nevertheless:

You wave Greek flags whenever possible when no Cypriot flags waves in Greece. Your army is lead by their generals and officers when you send them none. You watch their TV channels when no one watches yours` in Greece. You listen to their artists when no one listens to yours` in Greece. Your students learn their curriculum. Your stores are full of goods produced in Greece and they are your major supplier. And you know dam well they own a shit load in Cyprus not to mention the millions and millions of $s you have received in aid from them over the decades.

So save us the "Cyprus owns more in Greece than Greece owns in Cyprus?" bs... Especially given all the options you have and and how you ultimately choose to utilize them.

Five centuries of trying to Turkify us and Cyprus still remains Greek, huh! :D

correction: 64% of Cyprus remains Greek,36 % Turkish...Thanks to people like you all Cypriots lost out big time...Enjoy what is left, for however long you might have it...It won't last forever...

correction: The invasion ended enosis with Greece, so 64% is now Cypriot with 36% under Turkish occupation.

I do agree with you that it's the Cypriots that have lost out big time.

If you want to look at it that way,Turkey has stopped the Enosis and saved Greek Cypriots from Greek domination...For her troubles she claimed 36 % of the island...Hence,thanks to your Enosis dream Turkish Cypriots lost 100% of Cyprus...I am sure you will agree...Thanks for everything...

You are joking, Zan, right.??

Sounds like just one more pipe dream of the north's self declared importance in the world market place to be a economic player.!

I guess one needs to create groups and titles in the north to justify their salaries by being just pencil pushers.! This one took two years to establish.!

The north can't even sell very much to Turkey, let alone to anyone else, and there are not even any trade barriers or embargoes to the 70+ million Turkish market. Exports to Turkey from the north was about $36 million US Dollars last year. That's about 50 cents per Turk, despite Turkey exporting goods over $1 Billion USD to the north. The north should forget Russia and concentrate on Turkey, their "motherland" after all, to try and sell more to them. The question is of course, what does the north have that The Turks need or want that they can't get it from their own country. Well, I can think of Molohiya as one item, but the only problem is, Turks in general have no idea how to cook it. If mama Turkey is not interested in supporting the economy of the north by buying everything they produce, then I don't know how any other country would, other than perhaps the Russians selling lots of Caviar and Vodka to the north, which would be just an another trade imbalance the north does not need, but is use to, starting with mama Turkey.!

Perhaps the north should accept the fact, that Turkey is not interested for the north to become economically independent. Turkey's demand for the north's direct trade is nothing but a lot of "hot air". This is nothing but an excuse to keep her ports close to the RoC and at the same time blame others as to why her EU path is blocked. This is why I believe the EU will call Turkey's bluff and create some sort of direct trade with the north under EU supervision to force Turkey to open her ports to the RoC. Turkey will have no more excuses left then as to why she cannot continue with her EU path, which also requires that she help solve the Cyprus problem by removing her occupying force from the island. Interesting times ahead.!

Turkey will have no more excuses left then as to why she cannot continue with her EU path, which also requires that she help solve the Cyprus problem by removing her occupying force from the island. Interesting times ahead.!
