Actually, Makarios won the 1959 election with 66% of the vote, signifying an author who doesn't know what he's talking about. If you're such an Englishman, then perhaps you should stick to talking about stuff you know about – cricket, Yorkshire pudding or darts. Leave the rest of us who are Greeks alone. We don't wish to give up or dilute our Greek identity – which we've preserved for 3,500 years – for the sake of some multicultural garbage or to placate Turks, Englishmen or whoever. What a servile, colonised mind you have. Liberate yourself.

If you're such a Greek man, then perhaps you should stick to talking about stuff you know about – tax evasion, mayiritsa or the nefos. Leave the rest of us who are Cypriot alone. We don't wish to give up or dilute our Cypriot identity – which we've preserved for 9,000 years – for the sake of some mono-cultural garbage or to placate Greeks, wannabe Greeks or whoever. What a servile, Hellenized mind you have. Liberate yourself.

You may want to support the Turks in de-hellenizing Cyprus, but let me tell you something you already know, neo-Cypriotism was created post 1974, so you neo-Cypriots need to stop being economical with the truth. You're as bad as the Skopje folk for distorting history.

He is not a cypriot, but a Charlie. And he is proud of his charliness.

His real name is Bambos Malawanker.
